January blues?

Generally speaking, you could say that January would be a quiet month for the florists, especially the wedding florists. But, look closer, and you will see that a lot happens behind the apparent still façade of a florist’s door. Our little, unassuming Wicklow studio is a hive of activity as we speak, daily, and even during the weekend! So a quiet January could not be further from the truth!
The summer wedding fever started in the first week of January, with lots of meeting and consultations, excited brides-to-be eager bridesmaids and enthusiastic mothers the bride and groom pouring over our real weddings portfolio and designing with us their dream. No two brides are the same, and no two wedding are the same either. I just love working with the brides to design their unique and bespoke bridal flowers and décor. And I get really excited when the brides wants ‘something different’ and ‘never seen before’ – it’s a challenge that I welcome and embrace every single time!
And then January is close to… February. You know what I’ll say next! We’re talking red roses, red roses and some more red roses… By the way, that’s what the men want (men – take note!!). I have been told umpteen times by my lovely female clients that there’s nothing like a colourful mixed bouquet on Valentine’s Day.
And if that wasn’t enough, we’re delighted to be part of the exclusive Glitter Studio, the  wedding event of the year. The work has started already and I cannot wait to meet more wonderful brides and grooms with imaginative and creative ideas. Challenge accepted!!
