Cait came to me on a bright summer’s day to plan her wedding flowers. Her brief was to use seasonal flowers in tones of white and creams and lush backdrop greens in a romantic , unstructured design in tune with the stunning venue where the ceremony and wedding reception were to take place. We chose textural whites full of scent and romantic frills: roses, peonies, white lilac, bouvardia, astrantia and wild carrot and lush foliage in shades of deep green and silver greys such as soft ruscus, shepherd’s purse, eucalyptus and asparagus ferns. We decorated the famous bridge over the brook with long garlands of Wicklow foliage and wowed the guests with a beautiful floral arch at the entrance of the Brooklodge Chapel.
